About Us

Preserving our History
For our Future

Fraser Building Conservation has restored private, public and residential historic buildings in Alberta and Saskatchewan.  We have been in business since 2006, when Eileen Fraser left the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village to start her own company.

Eileen started her apprenticeship at the Ukrainian Village in 1993.  During her employment, she was tasked with the restoration and maintenance of the heritage buildings on sites across Alberta.  Additionally, she mothballed historically significant buildings for conservation, restoration and moving.

Once she started her own company, Eileen encouraged her three daughters to join the family business.  During the last 16 years, we have restored buildings across Alberta and Saskatchewan.  Notable locations are the Walterdale Theater in Edmonton, Alberta; Stelmach House at the Ukrainian Village, Alberta; St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Holden, Alberta; Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Edmonton, Alberta; and the Imhoff Gallery in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan.

Currently, her eldest daughter Jody is supervising the restoration of the windows and doors at the Alberta Legislature.  This has been an ongoing project since 2016, although it is not the only project we have been working on during this time.  We have continuously worked with homeowners in Edmonton and the surrounding communities to restore their heritage homes.  Our Crew includes registered apprentices, restoration assistants and finishing specialists, all with many years of experience within the historic building conservation field.
